This Juno-winning duo made up of Cuban-born virtuosos Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne fuses Afro-Cuban roots, jazz, and global grooves into anthems of resistance, love, and liberation. Singing in Spanish, Yoruba, and Spanglish, their 2024 album Okantomi blends Santeria chants, indie-pop hooks, and fiery activism for queer rights and gender equality. OKAN’s live shows are a whirlwind of mesmerizing harmonies, percussive mastery, and raw emotional power. Born in Havana and breaking barriers as women in male-dominated genres, they turn struggle into triumph, one heartbeat at a time.
